JOB DUTIES/
Responsibilities:
Candidate will be primarily tasked with performing moderate to complex cable fabrication duties, including (multi-pin, fiber optic, RF/coaxial, Cat 5/twisted pair, etc.) and technical support to install and maintain C5ISR systems. He/She will also support rack building and assist with systems integration, installation, modification, and upgrades in support of C5ISR systems. Candidate will provide occasional assistance to related support areas, including but limited to kitting and warehouse operations.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be willing to and available for domestic (CONUS) travel, up to 10% annually and for durations of up to 7 days at a time, to perform on-site installation, testing and/or repair of shipboard systems.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A valid High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year of of direct, hands-on cable fabrication experience to include: C5ISR testing, manufacturing, or maintenance is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must be able to fabricate cables from documentation, written or verbal instructions, schematics, rough sketches, drawings and diagrams, layouts, and plans often requiring interpretation and application of comprehensive knowledge and practical understanding of cable fabrication theory and principles.
DESIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING:
An Associate degree, from an accredited institution, in Engineering Technology or formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in avionics, electronics or communications is highly desired. Related NAVSEA certifications are highly desired, but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must be able to safely complete all of the physical demands of the job in a warehouse environment, including but not limited to the following:
Lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis.
Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing or squatting for extended periods of time.
Walk distances of at least one-half mile daily.
Repeatedly manipulating and handling objects needed for cable fabrication, including reaching, grasping, twisting, turning and operating equipment and tools.
Move and arrange heavy cable supplies and electronic equipment.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
An active DoD Secret clearance is required. Candidate selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and/or facilities.
