Current Need
McKesson''s Business Performance Services division has an opening for a Credentialing Supervisor in our Charleston, SC office.
Position Description
The Credentialing Supervisor is primarily responsible for day to day tasks in the Credentialing Department, providing instruction to the staff on billing related matters and for overseeing the workflow in order to maintain a productive operation.
Supervises the staff and ensures an effective distribution and process for workflow. Conducts reviews to ensure that work is being performed in accordance with departmental policies and other regulatory agencies, and that work is being performed correctly and in a timely manner.
Oversees audit and data entry activities routinely to facilitate the accuracy and quality of the data entered and maintained.
Assists VP or Manager with compliance issues.
Maintains effective client/physician staff relationships. Responds to client questions in a timely and thorough manner. Ensures appropriate follow-up. Handles issues when staff cannot resolve them.
Provides assistance on computer, billing and customer service related questions as well as. Monitors staff understanding of policies and procedures.
Performs special projects as assigned by the VP or Manager.
Supervises assigned personnel and assists VP or Manager various employment related matters including hiring, training, orienting, disciplining, and evaluating performance.
Follows all HIPAA regulations and maintains strict confidentiality and business ethics.
Ensures all verifications, preparation and maintenance of practitioner files are in accordance with NCQA Standard.
Coordinates follow-up communications as necessary and ensures accurate records on the status of provider tasks is maintained.
Minimum Requirements
2
years operational experience and demonstrated leadership skills.
Critical Skills
Medical and Insurance billing experience required
Working knowledge of Operations Management
Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Strong team player
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office suite
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Certified Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) Certification preferred
Education
2-year degree or equivalent experience
Certifications/Licensure
Certified Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) Certification preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
