Position Description

BR&T Materials & Manufacturing Technology is looking for Chemical/Contamination technicians for our Chemical Technology group. Responsibilities will have an emphasis on supporting the development, demonstration and transition of innovative inorganic coating technologies. The successful candidate will be: energetic; driven; handy in the lab; participate in testing of materials, processes and equipment; assist in test development, routine analysis of failed parts and processes, generation of data to evaluate failed mechanisms and documentation of findings; assist in developing and revising documents and technical requirements; participate in the evaluation and qualification of materials, suppliers, equipment, technology and processes to ensure that conformance and producibility requirements are met; support continuous improvement efforts by assisting with the design, fabrication and testing of new concepts and technology; works under close supervision.

Corrosion Principles
Basic knowledge of corrosion principles (such as crevice, stress, dissimilar metals).

Inorganic Chemical Processing
Basic knowledge of inorganic chemical processing (such as chromic acid anodizing, phosphoric acid anodizing, sulfuric acid anodizing, etching, plating).

Lab Protocols/Procedures (CF)
Basic knowledge of chemical and finishes laboratory protocols and procedures.

Material/Engineer Principles (
Basic knowledge of chemical/finishing materials and engineering principles to develop, design, analyze, test, and validate solutions for complex chemical and finishing systems and sub-systems.
Basic Qualifications For Consideration

AA degree in related discipline.
