Summary:
The Electrical Designer will be an important member of an electrical design team. The successful candidate will work under the direction of experienced engineers in developing drawing packages for electrical and control systems.
Responsibilities
Electrical/Instrument drawing development utilizing AutoCAD Electrical for new projects.
Create one-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams and loop diagrams.
Modify existing drawings.
Create cable schedules, conduit layouts and details from engineering sketches and/or customer specifications.
Review and apply client and industry codes and standards.
The successful candidate will have a positive, can do attitude; will be flexible and self-motivated, creative and well-organized.
Requirements
BS degree in electrical engineering with 2 years electrical design experience or BS degree in engineering technology with 5 to 8 years electrical design experience.
Experience should include building and site medium and low voltage power distribution design, interior and exterior lighting design, fire alarm system design, digital and analog telecommunications design, security design, and industrial instrumentation and control design.
Candidates with experience interfacing with outside architects and designing domestic, sewer, and stormwater pump stations and wastewater treatment equipment are preferred.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoDesk AutoCad is required
Proficiency in AutoDesk Revit is preferred
Education:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or BS Degree in Engineering Technology
