Summary:
Candidate will work with and be mentored by strong, nationally recognized, senior technical staff on compliance and permitting project and potentially other environmental-related projects.
Responsibilities
The work required by the successful candidate is diverse and ranges from general civil engineering duties to technical work.
daily interface with various agencies, clients and team members to verify compliance, obtain approvals, conduct reviews, and prepare responses in a timely manner
advising clients of appropriate strategies to obtain permits and maintain compliance with regulations and permit conditions
The successful candidate will have a positive, can do attitude; will be flexible and self-motivated, creative and well-organized
Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in permitting.
Candidates must have extensive experience with MS4, CZC, NPDES, zoning, and SCDHEC Bureau of Water permitting in the State of South Carolina and preferably in the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester region.
Candidates must be familiar with federal, state, and local agency regulations.
This challenging position requires strong verbal and written communication skills and a highly organized and responsive candidate, capable of working in a diverse team environment and handling multiple tasks with competing priorities.
Professional Engineer license or EIT certification is not necessary.
