We are seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join our dynamic team and take charge of maintaining, operating, and improving our spray drying equipment.
Position Overview:
As a Production Engineer - Spray Dryer Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our spray drying and associated packaging equipment.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day operations, implementing preventive maintenance procedures, troubleshooting equipment issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Oversee the operation and maintenance of the spray drying equipment, ensuring efficient and reliable performance.
Work with the maintenance coordinator in development and execution of a preventive maintenance system to minimize downtime and maximize equipment longevity.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, implementing corrective actions in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and safety, to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulations.
Develop and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the spray drying and packaging process, focusing on efficiency, quality, and safety.
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and minimize energy consumption.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence.
Train and mentor operators on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in spray drying, packaging and related fields.
Actively participate in plant safety programs, adhering to all safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years experience in an engineering role within a chemical manufacturing or similar industry.
Strong knowledge of spray drying principles, equipment operation, and maintenance is preferred.
Familiarity with bag packaging systems, preferably 55 lb and 1102 lb bags is preferred.
Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment issues and conducting root cause analysis.
Solid understanding of process optimization, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Proactive mindset and a continuous learner who keeps up-to-date with industry advancements.
