AUGUST 20, 2023 - APPLICATION REVIEW BEGINS IMMEDIATELY Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to:
managing, planning, organizing, and leading various training programs, ensuring proper execution at all levels of the agency; managing the training budget; researching new training supplies and materials to enhance the training procedures while providing value to employees; managing and developing training for employees to comply with regulations or to meet strategic/operational goals; training incoming and new instructors on proper course/lesson plan design and structure, instructional methodologies, and research that meet state standards; instructing various topics and assisting other agency instructors during course instruction; collaborating with management, trainers, team members, agency supervisors when defining agency training strategies, and ensuring their alignment to avoid conflicts of interest and are inclusive of all agency personnel; assessing employees' skills, performance and productivity to identify areas of improvement; analyzing training needs and developing new programs or modifying old programs to improve existing training and other duties as assigned.
This position performs a significant amount of work that requires imagination to create lesson plans, provide instructions to classes with different experience levels, and creating/presenting different scenarios for training.
Must use inventiveness when changing the methodology of law enforcement practices, improving officer safety, and finding ways to teach students when needed supplies are not available.
Minimum Qualifications Position requires U.
S.
citizenship, a Bachelor's Degree (from an accredited school with a minimum of ten (10) years or more of law enforcement, military, or teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have a valid SC driver's license or, if not licensed in SC, the ability to obtain a South Carolina one upon acceptance of the position.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate proficiency in PC applications using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Position requires NCIC certification (16 hour) or the ability to gain certification within six (6) months of assignment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
