Job Responsibilities Careers at DHEC:

Pursuing Excellence, Inspiring Innovation, Promoting Teamwork and Embracing Service Under the direction of the Regional QI Director, the Quality Improvement/Performance Management coordinator is responsible for activities related to data collection, analysis, reporting/visualization, and monitoring of quality improvement initiatives and public health performance management data.
This employee will also work within the region on quality improvement (QI) processes and special projects to support region programs and provide support for QI activities prioritized by public health management.
Assists the Regional Leadership Team and Strategic Planner with the creation, implementation, and maintenance of a performance management dashboard, recording measures of operational performance for our programs and services as reflected in the Regional Strategic Plan.
Supports process improvement within sites and programs by developing data collection tools and supporting the project teams with compilation of data, data analysis and reporting of findings.
Provides technical assistance and training on how to develop and refine measures that align with the priorities of management and lead to evaluating the quality and effectiveness of the programs.
Serves as Performance Management liaison between the region and the Office of Strategy and Continuous Improvement.
Serves as representative on the PM/QI council responsible for developing, monitoring, and reporting regional performance metrics for performance management system.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements State Minimum Requirements:
A bachelors degree and relevant program experience.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Agency Additional Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Public Health, Business Management, or a closely related field and coursework in program planning and evaluation.
Excellent computer skills to include knowledge of Excel and Word.
Skilled in data collection, data analysis, and presentation of information.
Understanding of how performance management and quality improvement are used to improve individual, program and organizational performance.
Ability to develop and monitor key performance metrics and apply quality improvement and performance management frameworks, methods, and tools.
Ability to work effectively with a variety of people and work in a team environment.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work within deadlines.
Must have current driver's license or ability to obtain transportation.
Must be able to travel.
Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate computers and other office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications At least one (1) year experience involving quality improvement, research, data management, and/or reporting/visualization.
A master's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
Experience recording measures of operational performance.
Experience facilitating process improvement projects, developing data collection tools and supporting project teams with compilation of data, data analysis and reporting of findings.
Experience providing technical assistance and training on how to develop and refine measures.
Additional Comments Immunization:
