System Admin/Database Admin

A client of Insight Global's is looking for a System Admin/Database Admin (Oracle preferred) to join their team supporting a federal program out of Charleston, South Carolina.
This individual will be working full time, supporting a new project to build a PeopleSoft system from scratch.
They're cloning a current environment using PeopleSoft, a third-party Oracle software.
This individual is going to be working in a windows environment, doing a lot of server management.
They will need to have a bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience.
They're going to be working with the government customer to get requirements and then turning them into the system installation.
From there they'll do setup, security, and configuration specifications all the way until the system is fully operational.
From there, the maintenance and upgrading are where they'll spend most of their time.
This individual does not need to come from a PeopleSoft background but have a deep willingness to learn and grow there.
They're looking for an individual that's excited to head this production and has the experience to show they're able to spear-head this.
They don't need to have an active Top secret but will be required to obtain one.

Their other day to day responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:
Update and monitor Peoplesoft security system based on the demands of the system and data Collaborate with vendors and other team members to develop, evaluate, install, and test software enhancements Install new PeopleSoft environments and refresh non-production PeopleSoft environments Troubleshoot development and production application problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
Assist development and system operations with debugging and tuning the batch cycle, using control M Work with system operations on determining backup and restore, cloning, patching application, and upgrade schedules Manage application configuration using PHIRE This opening is 100% on-siteTheir other day to day responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:
